This is a leopard in the wild. It's laying down for the night behind a small pile of rocks, hence only it's head is visible.
I also know that it's a super-crappy photo. It's a heavily cropped image of a shot taken in very low light at high ISO at a range beyond what my 400mm lens was intended for. I'm also standing up on and straddling two safari jeeps with a foot on either jeep's engine hood to get high enough over the heads of all the other people that were standing up in and jostling around on the jeeps trying to get a look. Definitely not ideal photographic conditions.
But it is a leopard in the wild. And it is an identifiable photo. Until the day comes that I can manage something better, I'll keep this one posted on the site.
