For those that are familiar with Mt. Hood Meadows, you know that the Blue lift isn't used too often, usually only when the parallel Mt. Hood Express (MEX) lift isn't runnable. This was one of those mornings when nearly everything was caked in a healthy layer of cocktail ice from a freezing rain event earlier in the night. MEX was frozen solid.
I had the job of digging to ease snow-creep pressure on towers #19-20 of Blue that morning and thus, when patrol was riding it up in the morning, found myself in perfect position to click a few shots of them as they passed by. The patrollers are (l to r) Jeni Harris and Gretchen Schwinn.
Despite the fast aperture of the lens I was using, I still found myself needing flash to get the shot.
Lens used: 50mm f1.4
