  • Cuy (guinea pig) is a traditional dish found in Ecuador and neighboring Andean countries.  While I'm aware it's considered quite tasty, I must admit I had a hard-time getting past its rat-on-a-stick appearance.<br />

  • Of all the pre-Columbian art pieces on display at the excellent Casa del Alabado, this was my favorite.  Had the museum shop a quality replica of this, I may have bought one.  But alas, not...<br />

This and the other museum images I've chosen to post were shot hand-held through glass sans flash.  Not ideal, but I managed.<br />
